Do you as a parent have the right to question that teacher's behavior, especially to your children? Of course; adultery is an obvious violation of God's moral command.

Likewise, homosexuality is an abomination in the sight of God, according to Scripture. As a Christian parent, it's not "bigotry" to oppose a teacher flaunting his immorality in my child's face, along the lines of racial bigotry. This is clearly a matter of biblical morality, and as Christian parents we should be concerned about it.

As for the comment about judgment. Let's get this straight. Scripture never says don't judge, period. Only that we should use the same criteria and not hold ourselves up as blameless. In fact, the very same passage that says, "judge not lest you be judged" also speaks of being known by our fruit. As someone once said: we are not to be judges, but we are to be fruit inspectors.

I'm not suggesting that these teachers are beyond God's grace; they can be saved. But I also don't think we should be forced to sit back and let them force their immorality on our children.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2041509706154090534.post-77288308992622332892008-03-04T20:46:00.000-06:002008-03-04T20:46:00.000-06:00Why would anyone want to "openly criticize" homose...Why would anyone want to "openly criticize" homosexual and transgendered teachers. Isn't that the same as judgement? I am a Christian and I fail to see why portecting homosexual and transgendered teachers from bigotry is a bad thing.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
